At Root Reliance Counseling I believe that each of us has a core-self and that this Self is an unending source of internal strength that we can all access and rely upon to facilitate healing. I believe that my role in your therapeutic journey is to guide and empower you to tap into this innate source of resiliency by understanding the experiences you have had which led to the development of harmful beliefs or wounds and of your internal and external systems that are currently upholding these painful experiences. 

Just as our bodies will heal physical wounds, we can also heal internal and emotional wounds like trauma or PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger, betrayal, grief, self-doubt, self-esteem, addictions, and the inability to connect with others in a meaningful way. 

This therapeutic approach comes from my deep understanding that we are fully capable of showing up for ourselves and that we all have the ability to overcome unimaginable hardships.

This work is the process of coming home to yourself.
